Nov. 21st, 2007 12:16 am Holiday Blues....

So, this whole "happy" holidays thing is kinda going to shit. Well for me anyway. My brother was supposed to come down for a couple of weeks and I was really looking forward to it because I haven't seen him in 2 years, actually it's been almost 3. My family is kind of, to put it nicely, we're not an "after school special" haha. It's a bit difficult having to deal with family members who obviously just don't like each other, and it's never fun when you are stuck in the middle(unintentionally I might add) My family is a bit tough to deal with for the most part and I am almost positive the holidays this year are only going to get worse. Everyone is mad at everyone now and well, sometimes, silence isn't always golden. So yes, i'm just venting right now because I can't say anything at home. Well I hope everyone else has a great holiday season!!! I'm looking forward to decorating my tree and putting lights up! haha Maybe Christmas won't be so bad.*One can hope right?*

Nov. 18th, 2007 01:28 am oh joy..

So today was a really BORING Saturday. It's so different living in the states again, as opposed to living in Germany.  Sometimes I really miss it. Not the whole, old wrinkly guys trying to seduce you (not to mention the whole..not believing in antipersperant haha) but the fact that no matter what, there was always something to do on the weekends. I guess there is here, but I don't particularly live in a "busy" city, I guess would be the "'turn-a-phrase." It's different, that's for sure. I'm not saying I hate it here, I take it back I do haha but I DON'T hate the people i've met *cough cough nessa* =] She's pretty much the only one of any of my friends EVER that has enjoyed the same things as me. For the first time in my life I get to go out and enjoy listening to music I like to listen to, and going to shows. I really like listening to new bands, local or not. It's always fun to have a new perspective on things and in Germany I never really had that. I had to dig deep to find anything close to what I liked and even then it was mediocre. Anyway, enough of my ranting I should go now. Oh and Ness..I went to Applebee's today..guess who I saw? haha

Nov. 13th, 2007 02:03 pm i don't know what the hell i'm doing..

Soo this whole "Livejournal" business is a bit strange for me. I'm not too sure how this all works haha. Yes, I am, what some might say, computer illiterate. I'm trying to get the hang of all this stuff, but it's going to take some time. Well i'm just writing to say that I went to one of the most amazing concerts EVER! I went and saw Valencia, The Audtion, All Time Low, and Boys Like Girls. All 4 bands really blew me away. I am a relatively new listener to pretty much all of them, and i'd only heard a few songs but I went, I listened, and I loved it! haha Next week i'm going to go and pick up all their cd's and quite possible some merch. They have some pretty sweet merch going on for the Boys Like Girls Tour soo if you go be sure to pick some up! The concert will definately not disappoint! The only thing that really sucked was the pit. I'm pretty used to having to fight around people trying to get by you, but when guys(grown ass men) start punching you to get in front of you, it's time to get the hell out. I got a few good hits in myself but I would have loved to punch this one guy in the mouth. haha Anndd, all the teenies. They are freaking insane. I get that these guys are "hot" or whatever but c'mon, you should like the music before you "like omg! i love him!" haha i'm just sayin. Anyway, after the show was pretty sweet as well. I am such a shy person when it comes to meeting people(especially musicians bc well, let's face it, they are amazing! =]) but I got to talk to Zack from All Time Low for awhile before he dipped out. He said he was coming back but I think the girl with the sex book freaked him out. haha Yes, I said sex book. She brought it and had they guys look up their astrological signs and read what "turned them on/off" then had them sign it. Some of the guys thought it was pretty funny and it was, I guess. But I got to meet three of the guys from Valencia, which was pretty amazing. They were all really nice guys, and let me buy their cd off of them for $9. I put it in as soon as we got to the car. haha And George said I had a pretty cool scarf, it reminded him of Ghostbusters. LoL We talked, looked at the sex book again haha and then they got cold and went inside the bus. I then found my way over to Jack from All Time Low, he's really funny, and I got a picture with him. I got to talk to Bryan from Boys Like Girls! He's such a sweet guy! But I was "uneducated" about some music he liked and I got told to "educate myself" haha which I fully intend to do sometime in the very near future. I met Maxim from Valencia(he's the drummer with really rad hair) but he was on the phone so we just got some pics and a signature, unfortunately. And lastly I got to talk to Ryan and Danny from The Audition. They are some really nice guys. Ryan said me and my friend were funny because we were contemplating over whether we should say something or not(once again, my shyness is sometimes overpowering) and then he came out and hung out with us for awhile. He braved the cold to hang haha. And Danny came over and talked for a bit, he even shared his drink with me which was really yummy! haha It was Captain and Coke. Invest people invest, that stuff can make the world go round hahahahaa. No but seiously it was good. I didn't get to meet everyone else bc they were all playing video games in the back of the van. And the rest of Boys Like Girls never even came outside, which was a bummer. They say they'll be back in the spring and well, i'm going to go back. This time i'm going early so I don't have to fight off douchebag guys haha. I got their 2 hours early last night but I guess that just wasn't enough time. But seriously, it was a great night. The music was amazing and the people were even more amazing! So..thanks for making my night!!!
